I feel like half of Adalind’s thing with Nick can be chalked up to the fact that he is the only non-infant she’s seeing for days at a time, it’s some weird variation of stockholm syndrome.

Possibly. Possibly she does feel some romantic connection with him. Doesn’t mean it’s a healthy thing. 

Adalind has this thing where she sort of fixates on a man, she did it with Sean, and now she’s realised he’s not exactly Prince Charming, she’s doing it with Nick.
