Reasons that I love Hank
1. He’s brave, intelligent, and a good detective.
2. He has a great “bedside manner” with witnesses.
3. No seriously Nick is always like, “Burkhardt OUT” after the witnesses talk to him while Hank is like “Thank you very much we appreciate it.”
4. Hank is really very good with people.
5. When Hank thought he was losing his mind, he went to see a therapist.
6. Like, he didn’t try to macho his way through it. He figured he needed help, so he got some.
7. He didn’t want to date Adalind until she put a spell on him because he didn’t want to take advantage of the fact that he saved her life.
8. Like, a beautiful woman was like “Date me” and he was like “Not that would be super unethical.”
9. He always has Nick’s back, even back when Nick wasn’t exactly being honest with him.
10. He had a good childhood and is a nice guy. The show didn’t go the “man pain” route with him which I like.
11. He has several ex-wives but he doesn’t seem to hate them or anything.
12. (At least one ex-wife is wesen, right? Right? We’re agreed on this?)
13. When he saw Renard’s wesen face, he was like, “Wow that’s cool” even though Renard is one of the scary looking wesen.
14. Heck, when Hank saw Renard tear that one guy to pieces in the “rescue Monroe from the hate group” episode, he was just like, “Cool.”
15. He’s really a very chill guy.
16. He’s afraid of rats, which is cute.
17. He and Wu hang out and go to bars, which is also cute.
18. Speaking of Wu, when Wu saw his first wesen and started freaking out, Hank was the only guy who was like, “Guys we have to tell him.” Everybody else was like “No.”
19. And eventually, what did they have to do? Tell Wu. So Hank was right all along.
20. Hank is just really great, yeah

“There was this guy that used to fix things around the house. He was always really nice to me, till, uh… One day he asked me to help him in the garage. And he grabbed me. I saw his face change. And, um… He pushed me down on the floor. But I was so scared by what I saw, that I just grabbed the first thing I could, which was a-a screwdriver. And really all I wanted to do was just push him away from me, but, um… He didn’t die… Or anything. He just… he didn’t get off me really fast, though. And that was the first time I heard anybody say “Grimm.” I told everybody what I saw. And that was the first time they locked me up. Said I was lying. And then when I said I wasn’t, they said I had to be crazy so… Yeah, I got pretty used to being crazy. Until I met all you guys. I realized I wasn’t alone.”
grimm took a turn for the worse when it got super dark in season 5 and 6, to me it was never the same after that
It definitely took a darker turn in overall tone, although I think the shift happened earlier in mid-season 4. I didn’t mind that so much, though. And I do think it got back some of that season 1 magic in season 6.

I jut wish Nick and Juliette’s story could have ended like Bitsie’s and David’s. Is that so much to ask? :-(
I don’t think it’s too much to ask. Apparently the writers disagreed.
But at least we’ll always know that Bitsie and David are happy together in reality.
And hey, even if Nick and Juliette didn’t end up together in the end of the show, we do see that Juliette is still a part of Eve, and that Nick and Eve still hold a sincere affection for one another. I think we can safely assume they will always be a part of each other’s lives, no matter what happens.
Any head canons for 19 yr old Kelly and older sister Diana?
- She totally still levitates him when she’s annoyed with him.
- As a little kid he was very vocally indignant at this; now he just kinda sits cross-legged in mid-air and glares at her.
- Diana’s rapid aging was intentional on her part; she was trying to grow up faster so she could use her powers to find her mom. Once she’s back with her family, she starts growing up at a normal rate. This one isn’t really about them as adults, but leads into…
- When Kelly is 9 years old, Diana goes off to college in New York. He doesn’t really understand why she has to go, and he’s inconsolable for days after she leaves. But ten years later, he gets it. He did his first year at the University of Portland, but now he kind of wants to get out and see more of the world. So of course, who does he go to for advice but his big sister?
- Kelly doesn’t have powers. They’re not sure if this is because he’s half-Grimm, half-Hexenbiest and the two cancelled each other out, or because male Grimms don’t come into their powers until later. His dad was never totally clear on how that worked, and honestly…given Nick didn’t get his powers until someone he loved died, Kelly isn’t super anxious to find out.
- Diana is always a little mischievous with her magic, even once she gets past that little kid stage where everything is id.
- Diana always has a slightly difficult relationship with her father. She loves him, but they don’t always see eye to eye and she’s furious about some of the situations he put her in as a kid. Kelly is the only person she talks about this with.
That’s all for now! Thanks for asking!
Do you Ship Ian Harmon With Nick?
That…honestly never occurred to me. But I can actually see it. I mean, they have a lot in common. They both make decisions based on what they believe is right rather than what’s conventional or even legal. They also both live lives that make it difficult to maintain relationships.
So…I can’t say I ship it because I never really thought to, but I can totally see them having a thing. Whether it would last long or work very well or be ultimately healthy is another story all together.
