This is the season where everyone starts to come together. Monroe and Rosalee get married, Nick and Juliette are finally able to be a couple with no secrets (most of the time, anyway.) We get the scenes between Meisner and Adalind (although I am still not a big fan of pregnancy sub-plots.) It also sets things up for Wu to be part of the team, and Wu’s s4 interactions with the others are some of my favourite scenes!
This was a doozy for me to choose because, honestly, it changed almost every season. But I kept coming back to one person who I adore and want to live up to every day.
The incomparable Rosalee Calvert. Rosalee is just my type of character – intelligent, fierce, and loyal with steadfast morals but questionable ethics. Rosalee has a dark past that shaped her but didn’t jade her. She is dutiful but won’t be taken advantage of. She has a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help. Rosalee is empathetic and non-judgmental but will hold you accountable for your words and actions.
Wogeing is such an interesting concept in Grimm! Originally introduced as an emotional reaction that reveals a Wesen’s true nature to Grimms or other Wesen, the transformation turned out to have so much more depth and nuance than that as the show went on. Wesen can woge partially or fully, as little as an eye color change to as much as a full body transformation that can be seen by anyone. Woges can be a show of aggression or a response to external stimuli, but they can also be a sign of respect, affection and comfort, or trust.
I think out of all the different Wesen I’ve seen my favorite woge is the fuchsbau, and my favorite instance of any fuchsbau wogeing is when Rosalee does so with Monroe’s parents as a first step in their attempts to bury the hatchet and try to get along.
The first one that I thought of was Once We Were Gods (Season 3, Episode 15.)
We get so many good interactions this episode!!! My favourites have to be the scene between Alexander and Nick in the car, and the one between Adalind and Meisner in the cabin.

Other episodes that come to mind are:
Last Grimm Standing – This is probably my most watched episode (hell, I wrote a fic inspired by it after I watched it – which can be found on my wattpad). This episode has my favourite Nick and Monroe content (i mean if you don’t fight for you friend’s life are you really a friend?)
Beeware – This is a comfort episode of mine. I really like the mellifers, wish we’d gotten more of them.
Where The Wild Things Were – I am a bitter Juliette/Nick shipper, and I really do like the episode and the closure it gives them.
Stories we Tell our Young – This one has the scene with Nick and Alexander, after he’s been arrested, and that’s one of my favourites. I think about it a lot. The messsage of the episode is good, to.
These questions are hard! I thought for sure I’d put them in this order: 2-3-1-4-5-6, but when I reviewed the episode list, I just have so much affection for so many scenes in season 1. I love the simplicity of the stories, I love watching Nick discover this new world and I really love Nick’s and Monroe’s burgeoning relationship.
I also love the darkness and complicated plotlines of the other seasons, but season one will always have a special charm for me.
Btw, huge THANK YOU to whoever started this fun challenge. I love the show so much but nobody seems to talk about it anymore, so it’s nice to be a part of this community.

When I think about everything I loved about the show, it’s ALL there in season 3. The team dynamic, the batshit storylines with twists I could never see coming, the endlessly inventive WotW plots that never got old. Season 3 is the peak of all of that for me. It’s when Team Grimm is at their best, IMO. It’s when Juliette is finay part of the team, too, which made me so happy to watch.
But also season 3 was just one of the best with the tightest writing, IMO. It started with the dial turned up to 11 and never slowed down. Every episode was great on its own and it all built steadily to a shocking finale that absolutely flattened the fandom emotionally. The world-building and the way all of the characters were delved into was incredible.
This is the season that gave us zombie!Nick and all his after-effects, Krampus, El Cucuy, the Aswang, the Wesen Council, Jake and Elly, Decapitare. This is the season that gave us Madalind, and Diana. That heart-wrenching moment for Adalind in front of Portland PD. Viktor, aka still the scariest of the royals IMO. Monrosalee wedding. This season had literally everything but telling Wu the truth, and it still planted the seeds for that.
Sometimes I feel like the latter seasons didn’t fully realize the potential of everything set up in season 3. But mostly I’m just glad we have it, because it was an incredible season.
Season 4 probably. If I’m not mistaken, this the season where the Grimm Gang grows. Nick brings in more of his human friends into the know, especially Wu.
