Seeing Adalind’s pregnancy storyline and related plotting really makes me think of Sean’s mom and what that must have been like. Did she contemplate using her son as a bartering chip? Did she have to hide her pregnancy or who the father was, because of how valuable her child would be to all the wrong people? Was she alone and young and scared? Was Frederick there for her at all?
I gotta hand it to Claire Coffee. She is queen of subtle face acting for an unsubtle character, which makes Adalind so fun to watch even when I’m mad at her. 😂 She makes Adalind seem transparent without overacting, which is hard to do!
This little twist to her mouth when she’s about to get exactly what she wants (or thinks she is), like she’s trying not to appear too giddy. The way her smile is just a little too tight when she talks about her mother. The way her whole face falls when Frau Pesch can tell she has no powers just by looking at her. She really owns every scene she’s in, even if all she’s doing is sitting on a couch having a conversation.
Meanwhile, in Vienna….
The first official Team Grimm dinner party! SO EMOTIONAL!! Nick, Rosalee, Monroe, Hank. 🥹 Red wine, food, and talking about wtf is going on in Portland. First of MANY to come! 😂 AHHHH I LOVE IT.
So once upon a time I was doing Grimm Stats by episode, and folks really seemed to enjoy those! I never finished, because it was a LOT of work to edit all those images. But would anyone be interested in Grimm stats by episode just listed as text, rather than shared as images? I’d probably do one image per episode of a significant scene still.

It’s Friday, Grimmsters! And the rewatch has resumed! 😁
Top 5 Grimm Moments by Season
Season 2, #4: Nick Burkhardt, Fruit Ninja in 2×15, “Mr. Sandman”
This scene was just pure fun at the end of an episode that was equal parts gross (eye parasites, euck) and heartbreaking. Nick isn’t often physically vulnerable, and less and less so as the show goes on and he gets better at being a Grimm. So seeing him so helpless, even for a short time, was disconcerting.
But at the end, we were rewarded with this little tidbit: Nick, in the woods, blindfolded, and being a literal fruit ninja. The only thing better than that? The cocky little smirk Nick aims at the trees as he surveys the fruity carnage he’s wrought.

I think season 3 is actually my favorite season of Grimm. I feel like it’s when the show truly hit its stride, all the elements that made it so special were present and at their peak, Team Grimm was in a great place. It’s just such a good season!
