tbh when i first saw Diana in Season 5 i thought she was like 100% black claw !!! evil !!! but i loved how she just eliminates threats to her mother like !!! yes !!! her killing bonaparte made my day !!!

Augh, another ask it’s taken WAY too long to answer, I’m so sorry.

But SAME. I love Diana as a character, she’s one of the best and most interesting superpowered child characters I’ve seen on television, and I’m honestly so tense whenever she’s in a scene waiting for how she will react or what she will do next because she’s not really good OR evil, she’s just a kid. And I think Adalind had it right on the money when she said Diana wanted her daddy to be a hero and save mommy.

But I do love how protective she is of her mom, and how she eliminates threats to her family. And I’m super happy about the whole “I guess we love each other” comment, because it kind of implies she’s added Nick to her family as well (although she would make him very sorry if he ever hurt her mom, of course).

FREAKIN YES. I SAW SO MUCH JULIETTE IN THAT SCENE WITH DIANA. SHE LOOKED SO SCARED AND IT WAS SO MUCH JULIETTE NOT EVE. AND “BURKHART I’LL DO WHATEVER I CAN TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY.” JULIETTE SILVERTON IS COMING BACK PEOPLE.

This response is SO LATE I’m sorry!

But YOU WERE ALSO RIGHT. Juliette is definitely back and I swear we see more of her with every episode. Eve is still a part of her and I think it’s easier for her and for the team to keep referring to her as Eve, but she’s as Juliette as she’s ever been and I LOVE IT.

Do you think Nadalind will be endgame?

At this point, I honestly do not know.

On the one hand, the last couple of episodes have clearly shown that Juliette/Eve and Nick still have feelings for one another, and have even hinted that Adalind is aware of this.

On the other hand, there are only four episodes left in the show. Nadalind is established at this point, for better or for worse, while Silverhardt has for all intents and purposes had a year apart, and only just begun to acknowledge their feelings for one another still exist.

Then, too, the writers have hinted strongly that Nick will end up with one or the other by the end of the series. I don’t like to think they would build the Silverhardt feelings back up just for it to come to nothing, but I also don’t know how they would dissolve the Nadalind relationship and then switch to Silverhardt being back on and at an endgame sort of place in just four more episodes.

So although I’m not happy about it, I’m concerned that Nadalind will indeed be endgame. Either that, or the show will end with neither relationship on.

If Nadalind doesn’t crash or sink I don’t think I can watch Grimm anymore. The ship has too many defects for it to work too much that I can’t get my head around. the only reason I’m still watching the show now is cause a part of me hopes Juliette will actually come back. That somehow the walls in Eve will be broken & she’ll be able to feel again. I know she’ll never be completely Juliette again. Eve will always be a part of her. But I’d like to see them fix that character. She deserves better

This is a super old ask and I’m so sorry for the delay in answering.

A lot of people feel like you do, myself included. The good news is that Juliette is definitely back, even if she still chooses to go by Eve, and her feelings for Nick are very clearly present and are not being ignored by the writers. You’re right that Eve is still a part of her, but I think they’ve come a long way toward repairing her relationship with the entire team. All we can hope is that this continues for the last four episodes!

I’m pretty sure Sean will die. He has been my favorite character for so long and his actions lately have hurt me because, well, I trusted him???? But also I’m so afraid (and sure) that he’ll die.

Sean’s at the top of my list of characters who will probably die, too. After “Blind Love” it seems like they’re definitely not planning to redeem his character at all, which leaves death as the only other narratively satisfying option.

Not that I’m happy about this. I trusted Sean, too, and I’m really mad/sad about the direction they took his character last season and the fact that they seem intent on leaving him a bad guy.

What do you think about Grimm focusing so heavily on Eve and sometimes Nick/Eve in the sneak peeks, promos and photos for this season?

I don’t know that it’s accurate to say the promos have focused unduly heavily on Eve or Nick/Eve, any more so than they’ve focused on other pairings or on the other individual characters. But I do think Nick and Eve are both central to whatever the big finale ending is going to be. So far they seem more directly tied to whatever’s going on with the keys, the mirrors, and the symbols than anyone else except for maybe Diana.

And in 6×11, they’re supposed to be off on a mission without the rest of the team, so it definitely makes sense that they would be more prominent in the promo material for that episode. Even still, Eve is only in four images of the twenty-four available for that episode.

Mainly I just think it’s cool that they took a female character who started the series mostly in the background as a love interest and–instead of phasing her out with a break-up or killing her off for mangst–they just made her stronger and more prominent and interesting as the show went on, until finally she’s arguably just as powerful and integral and important to whatever weirdness is happening in the show’s mytharc as the male protagonist.

I’m starting to really believe Nick and Juliette are endgame. She’s obviously still in love with him so he only has to wake up. I wonder if the stick went near Adalind if she would be fixed back to her normal self rather than this fakery going on. It was powerful magic that changed her and Juliette and it’s not fully undone yet. My heart broke when I saw her in the tunnels by herself under where he lives.

I feel like we got a pretty solid glimpse in that last episode of Nick’s lingering feelings for Juliette as well. I’m not sure how much they’ll explore this in the next two episodes, but this synopsis makes me think we’ll definitely see more development between the two of them in episode 11. (Thanks for sending me the link, @teamrebecchi !)

The thing about Adalind, though…I don’t necessarily want to see her revert back suddenly to being bad but I’m not sure what else they could do that would make sense. At this point the changes in Adalind were either powerful magic or shitty writing, but either way they’ve let it go on too long and played it too sincere without saying or even implying anything in canon that would make it clear that it’s the former.

And I just wish if they were going to try to redeem her character they had even made an attempt to actually earn it. Because they could have done a real, sincere redemption arc and shown incredible character development. Or, they could have had her go good temporarily due to magic before reverting back, and kept the amazing antagonist while adding an almost tragic storyline, a kind of “we got a glimpse of what she could have been” situation.

But neither of those things is possible now, and with only five episodes left I don’t know that there’s anything the writers could do at this point that would completely fix her character arc. The writers have ruined Adalind’s story, and it’s a shame, because the character was interesting and complex, and Claire Coffee’s performance has always been amazing.
