I like that we think along the same wavelength. (although I forgot that the specific term was “true cross”. *chastises myself* Bad Catholic!) But when they said there was something written on the cloth I jokingly said, “Yeah, it says (*in deep chanty voice*)’This is the wood of The Cross, on which hung The Savior of the World.'” (Which is something the priest says as part of Good Friday services, for those who don’t know). Cuz, at that point, i didn’t think they were gonna go in that direction!

Honestly I got the term “True Cross” from doing a bit of preemptive google research. My Southern Pentecostal upbringing definitely didn’t give me that term.

I think we’re on the right track, though! The more I read about the True Cross versus other legendary wooden artifacts, the more it seems to me like that’s probably what it is!

I’m confused. When did Adalind fall in love with Nick?

Well, anon, it was…

Huh.

You know, that’s a really good question. They’ve only been living together for a few months, tops, and during that time they’ve been somewhat under siege. Not the best atmosphere for developing any kind of healthy connection.

Before that, she was emotionally manipulating him into protecting her from Juliette.

And before that, she was raping him and stealing his powers at Viktor’s behest in a misguided attempt to get Diana back.

Funny…it’s almost as if this whole thing between them happened way too fast and without sufficient development for it to make any kind of sense to anyone not watching it through shipper goggles.

On the thoughts of the magical stick being part of the True Cross, think. It was buried by the Crusaders, a Christian fighting force. It had a Templar moniker and everything. Plus, I remember a saint supposedly found a part around that time?

I mean it’s possible. But I don’t want to completely discount it possibly being something of Muslim origin, considering the Fourth Crusade did involve Muslims as well as Christians.

And tbh I wouldn’t put it above a bunch of Christian knights to steal some very valuable and/or powerful Muslim artifact, slap a bunch of Christian words and symbols on it, and tuck it away in some dark corner of Europe.

Good lord they’re dumb.. A piece of wood found in an old church… Come on people, its a spear from the Cross. Man how hard is that to figure out?!

I mean…to be fair a lot of people not raised in Christian households or communities wouldn’t be as familiar with Christian legends or the significance of certain objects, so their minds might not jump right to that.

But yeah…I was thinking piece of the True Cross as well.

Then again…it’s easy to assume it would be a Christian artifact because of all the talk of churches, but it might not be.

I’m trying to do some research, but does anyone more familiar with Islam know if there are significant wooden objects that might have healing powers connected to Islam?

So, I want to ask one thing : Since Meisner had that ”awesome”(see the irony) idea of sending Trubel away from Nick, is Trubel continuing on this season after tonight’s ep ? Because I’m really worried about what could happened with her after tonight’s ep. And I’m saying this as a fan of this amazing character. Mari.

It’s hard to say one way or the other. On the one hand, IMDB doesn’t have Jacqueline listed for any of the episodes of the season past this one. On the other hand, this doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

I’ve actually started to wonder if they might have a bigger story in mind for Trubel during the latter half of this season. There’s nothing in particular that makes me wonder this except all the things they’re NOT saying in the show with regards to Trubel’s loyalties, her feelings toward HW versus Team Grimm, whatever happened to Josh, what convinced her to join HW, etc, etc.

Well, that and the fact that she’s been posting a few BTS photos on Instagram, but they’re few and far between, and always very vague photos that could be from any episode. Whenever the cast start getting quiet or secretive on social media, I start to think shit’s about to get real in the show. I blame Bitsie for this reaction, entirely. 😛

I will say that I hope she sticks around and maybe even gets promoted to a series regular by next season, because she’s one of my favorite characters.

What I would liked see in the show : some reference about the legend of Laughing Jack(and playing Pop Goes the Weasel on the background) or a wesen which is a doll, but with a spirit of some evil witch inside the doll. Weird, right ? Mari.

Okay…so doing a Laughing Jack (or basically any creepypasta) episode would be fantastic. I would also be unable to liveblog it because I’d be watching from under a blanket with my hands over my eyes.
