But the thought comes, unbidden:
Sleeping Beauty didn’t live happily ever after with a peasant. No, it was the Prince that brought her back from sleep and won her heart…
BAD SEAN. STOP THAT.

“He reaches her before she can walk away, and his light touch on her arm roots her to the floor. “Juliette.” She’s never heard her name sound like that. There’s some sort of accent under it, some emphasis that no one else has ever used.”
OH DEAR.
Tbh I always liked the IDEA of sparks between Juliette and Sean. But this is NOT WHAT I WANTED AT ALL.
Poor Jules. 😦 Of course she’s frustrated, and sad, and even feeling GUILTY, that here’s this guy that adores her and that by all accounts is great, and she doesn’t know him, doesn’t trust him, and she can see that it hurts him that she doesn’t, but really…what is she supposed to do with that? She doesn’t REMEMBER him!
I always liked Juliette, but season 2 is when I really started to just LOVE her. Watching her deal with that whole creepy amnesia situation made me realize just how strong a person she really is. So I love that this writer is starting with her perspective on that time.
Not a sound was to be heard, nothing moved except for the clocks, but when they too ran down, they stopped, and time stopped with them. Not even the faintest rustle was to be heard, only the wind whistling round the turrets, not a single voice, only the cry of birds.
There’s no Nick-shaped hole in her life, waiting to be filled. There’s just…nothing.
At the Root of Evil, Good; At the Heart of Light, Darkness, Part 1: From Some Other Beginning’s End
Going to go ahead and put up a trigger warning for this fic…it takes place during season 2 when Juliette and Renard are under a spell that causes them to become obsessed with one another. Which means they have no say in the matter, and the feelings and desires they have for each other are entirely non-consensual on both ends. So while nothing actually happens between them in the fic per se, I guess this warning is for non-con underpinnings?
