Seriously, this fic…it’s so weird and fast-paced as far as the actual moment to moment events and the writing style, but it’s also kind of slow-burn in terms of actually revealing what’s happening.
And then you have lines like this one. Like…Hank what is your brain even DOING.

SUDDENLY THERE IS KISSING. DREAMWALK KISSING. I LIKE THIS A LOT.
Oooo so Hank’s kind of having an out-of-body experience, but he thinks he’s dreaming, and while he’s in the spirit world or limbo or wherever the hell, he can apparently see Wesen’s true faces.
(This was written before Woman in Black aired but I kind of wonder if, in theory, Hank would be able to see Nick’s scary bottomless-pit eyes when a Wesen woged in front of him too?)
This is seriously some surreal shit, if you’ll excuse the alliteration. The imagery is weird and beautiful. I’m still not sure what’s going on, but I think Hank is dreaming while in a coma and unaware of it…and Oran is kind of sinister but I still like him.
Okay…so he’s dream-walking, then? Or maybe dream-walking while in a coma? I have no idea. Oran is kind of a cool character though.

Happy Friday, folks! This week marks the first of my summer series of live fic readings. I’ll be reading a chapter or two of a fic each week and liveblogging it, kinda like an episode of Grimm but with less angst (how many TV shows can you say that about?).
I’ll be starting with “Green Green Man” by Ambrosia_Ragweed. It’s a multi-chapter fic with Hank as one of the main characters that I’ve been dying to really dig into ever since we did the Hank-A-Thon.
