Is is true that Bitsie and the Grimm social media accounts have started blocking people and deleting comments?

I have no idea whether this is true or not, but let me just say that having followed Bitsie on instagram for a while, if she did start blocking some of the incredibly rude people who post on her social media I would not blame her one tiny bit. And the same goes for the Grimm social media and the Grimm writers.

I love the Grimm cast, crew, and writers. They haven’t always made narrative decisions I agree with, but they have always had an amazing amount of openness, interaction, and dialogue with their fanbase. I–and other admins on this blog–have been very openly critical of some of their choices in the show’s direction in the past, and I’ve never been blocked. Nor, to my knowledge, has any other admin here.

In fact, the people who make Grimm have been one of the most giving toward fandom I’ve seen, surpassed only by the cast of Supernatural in the sheer amount of sharing they do with the fanbase. Even though certain members of this fanbase have occasionally crossed the line, particularly when it comes to sending Bitsie hateful messages.

They don’t owe us that level of interaction, and there are occasionally good reasons to block fans. So if it’s true that the Grimm social media accounts and/or Bitsie have begun blocking people and deleting their comments, they probably had a very good reason and, given what I’ve seen directed toward Bitsie in particular, it’s about damn time.

This understanding for Adalind is actually making me so mad. Like how dare you, you’re all such hypocrites! Your BEST FRIEND lost her way & asked you for help & you treated her like a monster & when it was clear she needed you the most & the stupid Hexenbeist had clearly taken over, you guys all just ABANDONED her & plotted to KILL her. THEN ACTED LIKE IT WAS A SHOCK. Like what the heck Grimm writers? These are not the characters I fell in love with! IT WAS SO OUT OF CHARACTER FOR ALL OF THEM

Jesus tap-dancing Christ yes, it makes me furious.

It’d be one thing if they ever framed it in the context of learning from their MONUMENTAL fuck-ups last season, but they’ve never really acknowledged that they did fuck up.

And you’re absolutely right, even as bad as Nick “lies and emotional avoidance” Burkhardt can be with confronting problems sometimes, it was massively out of character for literally ALL of them to suddenly behave that way.

I doubt I’ll ever completely forgive the writers for that utter lack of character continuity and just overall lazy fucking writing, because instead of showing a believable arc in which the characters lose Juliette to this new power in a way that makes sense and really earning that pain, they just forced all their characters to react in ways that were so ridiculously OOC as to be almost comical. Which, don’t get me wrong, is still painful. But like…it was season four of Glee painful, not season five of Supernatural painful. So…epic fail.

sexytrekkie:

I was under the impression that the actress Bitsie asked to leave Grimm and they killed off her character because they didn’t know what else to do, because that is how NBC thinks. Was I told wrong?

As far as I have seen, there has been no official announcement on whether Juliette is staying dead in season 5. The writers and Bitsie herself have been doing a lot of teasing and trolling, but have also outright said they aren’t telling us for sure until the season 5 premiere. They want us guessing.

There was one TVLine interview that’s been quoted out of context a lot to make it sound like she’s gone for good, but if you actually read the whole interview, the creators are laughing, joking, and being evasive. When asked if they’re serious, Kouf replies cryptically that he’s as serious as he usually is.

Google “Grimm Juliette dies dead” (overkill much?) and read for yourself. Sorry for the lack of a direct link…mobile.

TL;DR: Believe nothing the writers tell you on hiatus because they troll.

fuckyeahnickbur…

She was obviously going to kill Nick though, so I mean, they were doomed no matter what.

(apologies, this rant was just waiting for the TINIEST springboard to jump out with)

I’m wondering why Trubel had to go straight for the kill shot though. I mean, Nick told her to kill Juliette…but then…Trubel’s never listened to Nick when he told her what to do before, why did she have to start now? She could have incapacitated Juliette temporarily to give them time to decide what to do, or joined the fight and distracted her long enough for Nick to get up, making it two against one and giving them a much better chance of subduing her. But no…two arrows to the chest really leaves no room for argument.

It’s kind of along the lines of why the FRESH MERCIFUL SUGAR-COATED HELL did they just hand the only cure to Juliette and expect her to drink it without a fight? WHY? It made no sense at all. It’s like the writers wanted to kill her and decided to make all of Team Grimm conspire to be inefficient, illogical, and frankly a bit out of character in order to make it happen. Everything from the moment Juliette revealed she was a hexenbiest has made zero sense and been a case of the Worst Possible Way You Could Have Handled That Situation over, and over, and over again. It was ridiculous.
