Green Green Man, Ch. 1: Oh, run, run, run as fast as you can

Happy Friday, folks! This week marks the first of my summer series of live fic readings. I’ll be reading a chapter or two of a fic each week and liveblogging it, kinda like an episode of Grimm but with less angst (how many TV shows can you say that about?).

I’ll be starting with “Green Green Man” by Ambrosia_Ragweed. It’s a multi-chapter fic with Hank as one of the main characters that I’ve been dying to really dig into ever since we did the Hank-A-Thon.

So if you’re in a reading mood, head over to the link and start! I’m going for chapters 1-2 tonight.

I’m just gonna jump in the deep end of denial here and pretend the last thing in this episode was Martin Meisner’s beautiful lumberjack face. Nothing else happened after that. Nope, nada. That’s how the season ended, and we can spend the hiatus pondering what Meisner’s been up to, how he found Diana, and what brand of beard oil he uses to keep his facial hair so perfect.

Blood and destruction shall be so in use
And dreadful objects so familiar
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter’d with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice
Cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.
