if they kill Monroe I (might) stop watching.

My personal policy is not to take promos seriously (they take bits and pieces of the ep that will make you wonder until next week).

They have at least one episode a year where they hint that something bad might happen to Monroe, but I don’t think you have to worry too much. During the premiere one of the big wigs (I think it was Michael Golamco?) said that we have a lot of Monroe and Nick bromance working together moments this season. And he’s been included in descriptions for upcoming episodes for the season.

I (personally) don’t think you have to worry about Monroe 🙂

My theory as to why they handled Monroe the way they did was cause they heard about the LAST group that tried to kill him and what happened to them. (not sure HOW they heard but I’m betting that story was spread quickly through the community and it’s also possible that some pepole were part of both groups.) Also The Spice shop is the closest thing they HAVE to a wesen pharmacy so that could be another reason they didn’t destroy it.

You know…I think those are two really good theories. Then again, I wonder if the spice shop thing might be because it’s a Wesen business selling products specific to the Wesen community and culture, primarily to Wesen customers…whereas the other businesses that got hit all seemed to be Wesen-run businesses selling typical Kehrseite products to both Kehrseite and Wesen customers.

In fact, I get the distinct feeling that the Black Claw resent humans, assimilation and coexistence with humans, and the secrecy enforced on the Wesen community, and that their major goal is to completely overthrow that system. I mean, their motto is “Free the Hidden.”

So basically, they’re attacking Wesen who’ve assimilated? Which would make a wieder blutbad a prime target.

Except, didn’t Monroe say that Blutbad are on the higher scale of “who not to fuck with” along with “you should NOT fight” like Lowen? They aren’t the big bad wolf for nothing. But nonetheless I’m sure they are on the top of the shit list for H.W for being the worst, as in offenders and in “who not to find yourself up against”

Maybe they want Monroe for his strong ties to both the Grimm and Wesen community.
He’s a strong target for their purpose I think

A definite possibility. I mean, Monroe basically makes a habit of doing things that piss off Wesen traditionalists. He’s bffs with a grimm, married to a fuchsbau, and a vegan wieder blutbad.

#are the writers forgetting S1 or am I blurring memory?

No, but tthe 4 Claws Club seem to be filled with people who have no self-preservation instincts.

Also, it’s not like they’re going one-on-one with Monroe in a fair fight if they do go after him. They attack in groups, and without warning.

Speaking of reactions to Nick…do you ever think back on Monroe’s reaction to him and realize how entirely abnormal it was? Like, it was only the second reaction we ever saw really, after Adalind’s, but it was so…flippant. He was fascinated instead of frightened. He invited the terrifying monster assassin of legend, grandson of his childhood nightmares, in for a beer.

Just…what exactly does that say about Monroe?

I mean how many times now has Monroe been attacked, like targeted specifically? First the reapers beat the crap out of him in season one, then there was the Wesenrein, and now these guys—who I’m not entirely sure aren’t the Wesenrein all over again.
