Season 3, #5: Nick finds out he’s not a Grimm anymore in 3×22, “Blond Ambition”
This moment was so utterly shocking to me that I can barely articulate it. I had been wondering what on earth Adalind was up to now, but somehow this possibility never even crossed my mind.
Even after every other wild thing in this episode, this moment–especially that numb look on Nick’s face–stuck out to me over it all. It was like an implosion. Because even in the weird Wesen world, some things were still certain. Nick being a Grimm was one of those few certainties. And then suddenly…he just wasn’t.

Season 2, #1: Nick is captured by Prince Eric and the Baron in 2×22, “Goodnight, Sweet Grimm”
This is another one of those game-changer moments. Not only did it crank the stakes way up, it fundamentally changed Nick in ways that we still don’t fully understand.
Of course, we all knew on some level that Nick would be back for season three, because most shows don’t kill off or incapacitate their main protagonist for very long. But I’m reminded of a quote from Bruce Coville: “living through something doesn’t mean you haven’t come out different on the other side.”
This was one of those instances where even though I was pretty sure Nick would live, I had no idea who–or what–he would be when he woke up from that cursed sleep.
It was also one of those instances where the Grimm Writers showed their powers of Jedi Mindfuckery, because no matter how hard I tried to believe Nick was going to be okay, that final image of Nick was always in the back of my mind, the Grimm Writers’ metaphorical hands waving in front of my face, murmuring “but will he though?”

Season 2, #4: Nick Burkhardt, Fruit Ninja in 2×15, “Mr. Sandman”
This scene was just pure fun at the end of an episode that was equal parts gross (eye parasites, euck) and heartbreaking. Nick isn’t often physically vulnerable, and less and less so as the show goes on and he gets better at being a Grimm. So seeing him so helpless, even for a short time, was disconcerting.
But at the end, we were rewarded with this little tidbit: Nick, in the woods, blindfolded, and being a literal fruit ninja. The only thing better than that? The cocky little smirk Nick aims at the trees as he surveys the fruity carnage he’s wrought.

Here’s hoping!
And this Renard fan is really, really hoping that he had his brains messed with by Bonaparte or Diana, and that this recent characterization is not a total fail on behalf of the writers.
If we have to have evil!Sean, I would like him to have brains and a damn spine, like you say.
Have you read the comic Renard’s Reckoning? It’s almost the same story, except Renard kills the gang boss out of his own free will and takes control of the city in the most epic way.
That comic is how this storyline should have gone down, and I think it was the inspiration for it as Renard also kills a ‘friend’ to further his own ends.
(And I assume you mean Conrad Bonaparte, not Sebastien. Sebastien was one of Renard’s ‘friends’ who was killed by Viktor whilst he and Meisner were trying to get Adalind and Diana out of Austria.)
I KNOW ANON I KNOW. I’M STILL EMOTIONAL ABOUT IT. THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER. THE WAY SHE LOOKS AT HIM. THE WAY HE CARRIES HER AWAY FROM DANGER. THE WAY HE REVEALS ONE OF HIS BIGGEST SECRETS IN ORDER TO SAVE HER. HIM. HER. I CAN’T OKAY. I CAN’T.
