Season 2, #4: Nick Burkhardt, Fruit Ninja in 2×15, “Mr. Sandman”
This scene was just pure fun at the end of an episode that was equal parts gross (eye parasites, euck) and heartbreaking. Nick isn’t often physically vulnerable, and less and less so as the show goes on and he gets better at being a Grimm. So seeing him so helpless, even for a short time, was disconcerting.
But at the end, we were rewarded with this little tidbit: Nick, in the woods, blindfolded, and being a literal fruit ninja. The only thing better than that? The cocky little smirk Nick aims at the trees as he surveys the fruity carnage he’s wrought.

Nick serving pathetic kicked puppy realness in 2×12 “Season of the Hexenbiest”
“They’re in a holding pattern, except that nobody’s…holding anyone.” 😂 NICK
The thing is, at this point, Nick has only killed when absolutely necessary. When it was a matter of his life or the life of someone else. He hates being thought of as a killer. He hates being feared and looked at like a killer.
Juliette and Nick just. They drive me insane lmao. Nick with his conflict avoidance and Juliette with her inability to focus on her own needs or emotions. GET THERAPY I love you both but damn.
Looking back it’s so so sad to see how hard Juliette was trying to be what Nick needed, without being able to actually remember him. They were playing house and it’s so wonder it all started to crack apart. Tbh that probably would’ve happened even without the whole “obsession” dimension of Adalind’s spell. No way they could keep going under these conditions forever.
