Who says a straight guy can’t enjoy a good muffin now and again?

Okay, seriously, what are you munching on over there?” Nick asked, glancing briefly toward the passenger seat before returning his eyes to the road. “You’d better not be getting crumbs all over my car.”
“Just some pork rinds,” Monroe mumbled, his words nearly unintelligible over the sound of the crunching.
“Pork rinds, really?” Nick asked amusedly, arching an eyebrow at him. “Isn’t that a little obvious?”
“I’m reformed, not dead,” Monroe shot back a bit sulkily, cradling the bag protectively in his lap. “Even a wolf’s gotta indulge once in a while.”

PORK RINDS MONROE? REALLY?!
I’m the anon who dislikes Juliette (thanks for not hating me!) I agree about the pushing us to hate her and about Nick needing some sense of normalcy. About him being better off without her though maybe he wouldn’t have been at the start of the season (putting aside personal opinion, that would’ve ruined him) or at any other point but at the end of the season with the writers pushing her so hard in that direction and all she did, I think he’s better off not being with someone who caused him pain
I hear you, anon. A person who hurts you repeatedly and takes pleasure in it is not a person you want to stay in a relationship with. And although I think the nature of human interactions is that we inevitably cause each other pain at times, I do think that if Juliette survives, Nick might forgive her for the things she did but they could never be the way they were again, even if they actually talked everything out and both admitted the places they were at fault and the places they weren’t.
One could also argue it the other way, though: Juliette would have been better off without Nick. She would have been better off not being with someone who lied to her, repeatedly put her life in danger, dismissed her emotions whenever they weren’t convenient for him, and caused her a lot of physical harm as well as emotional pain for several years.
Their relationship was very cute at times, but at others it was one-sided and extremely unhealthy, since the very first season. Nick’s greatest flaw is his self-absorption and avoidance, while Juliette’s is/was that if she loved someone, she would be too accommodating of their wants and needs, to the point of ignoring her own. It was a toxic combination that would have torn them apart eventually, in my opinion. Her transformation and all that followed just hastened things along.
I’m still not over the fact that Juliette burned down Nick’s aunts trailer, I mean that’s his whole family history and all he has left of his aunt. It still hurts me (mainly cause of all of those books that went up in flames).
Believe me, the sight of all those books going up in flames hurt me too…but then I started to think about it a little more. Yeah, it’s the Grimms’ history…but a lot of it is a history of remorseless, unforgiving brutality and ruthless murder.
The Grimms are not a long line of people like Nick, remember. They weren’t feared because they were reasonable and compassionate. Even Nick has been shown at times to be horrified and disgusted by his ancestors’ actions.
So…on the one hand yes, Juliette burned down his trailer full of vital information but on the other, she didn’t by any means burn his family history. Nick’s family history is his memories of his aunt and his father and mother, most of which actually had nothing to do with the Wesen world and the Grimm legacy.
There’s actually no reason whatsoever to think Nick had nothing of his family other than what was in that trailer. The “normal” things, like photo albums, cherished memories of the childhood he had with Marie? I doubt they were there. Why would they be? And why on earth would he value his family’s long history of blood and brutality over that?
How many people here know you’re a Grimm? How do you handle something like that? Do you stay in the closet or just come on out? I bet you haven’t told anyone. But someday someone is going to realize that you’ve been doing two jobs with one badge.
“Nick made his what-the-fuck-ever face and continued with the questioning.”
That is so damn canon Nick, like:
