Honestly, I think that’s how Nick felt too.

I’M SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW i mean i don’t get to watch it live but GRIMM’S FINALLY BAAAACK. so excited and scared hah but yeah i just wanted to share my enthusiasm with someone :D

We are positively RAGING with enthusiasm! Be sure to blacklist “liveblogging from the spice shop basement” or “spoilers” if you want to avoid being spoiled for the premiere by our liveblogging!
Im not sure if you’re still active? But I still have feelings about the season end. I feel the writers have been messing with us ever since Juliette more or less went into a sleeping beauty like coma when she lost her memories. Like I know it wasn’t cured by true love’s kiss but ever since the ending I’ve been thinking about it hard (maybe putting to much into it granted). What if that episode has been to show that everything isn’t going to end happy ever after for Nick and Juliette?
Hello! Sorry it took us so long to respond to your ask, but in a nutshell…your feelings were a thousand percent spot on. 😦 All we can do now is mourn.
I adore this show!!!

WE HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON! Welcome! 🙂

Nick is spending an interesting amou…
Yeah, but its Renard’s abs.

Fair.
hello, how do you think it would play out if Ariel Eberhart ever came back? it seemed like they wanted her back sooner, but it didn’t happen. and as cool (haha, cool) as that would be, the fact the actress is rather busy might hinder a long term role.
I think if Ariel Eberhart came back it would be AMAZING because she was such a fun, unpredictable (funpredictable, forgive me) character to have around! I can just imagine her being cruel and mocking Nick over the loss of Juliette–which is terrible but it would fit with their past interactions and the history between them.
But I also agree that now that Danielle Panabaker is busy with The Flash full time, it would probably be difficult to fit filming an episode or episodes of another series into her schedule. That doesn’t keep my fangirl heart from wishing for a reappearance at some point. She’s high up on a list of seemingly one-off characters I would love to see return (I died of happiness when they brought back Lt. Orson).
Now our Jujubiest(OMG, i love say this, hahaha ) was gone, which female Grimm character do you guys think could be so perfect for our Avenger Grimm ? If a cossover was possible, I think Felicity, from Arrow, could be SO perfect for Nick, OMG *-* But for now… I am really in doubt between Adalind or Trubel(and here I go again with my obsession for Nick and Trubel, hahaha )
I personally can’t ship and will never condone Nick having a romantic relationship with Adalind, because she raped him at the end of season three (and in general has done nothing but harm and seek to harm him and those he cares about since the day they met). I don’t ship him with Trubel either, because they’re at least ten years apart in age, she’s very young (like 22), and he’s her mentor and in some ways her rescuer…it would be a power imbalance that I just couldn’t get over, and Trubel wouldn’t be in a position to give good consent under those circumstances.
And honestly I think it would take a very long time for Nick to come to a place where he’s ready to move on from Juliette. I mean…they were together for years. He loved her. He wanted to marry her. They saw each other every day, and were an integral part of each other’s lives for a long time. Not to mention he will probably always feel at least partially responsible for what happened to her. She was killed right in front of him, and she died drowning in her own blood, in his arms. That’s not something you get over really quickly, and I hope the writers realize that and give Nick the time he needs to really heal.
Not to mention, just from a personal perspective, I could definitely use a break from all the relationship drama on the show. There’s so much actual, interesting plot they haven’t even touched on. What about the keys? The coins? All the dire things hinted at in the first season and throughout the subsequent seasons, to do with the royals and the structure of the Wesen world, and the reasons Renard wanted Nick on his side?
For that matter, what about Renard’s entire character arc and all the stuff we don’t know about him yet? His hidden motivations? His ties to the Resistance? Oh yeah, hey! What about the resistance! And what’s going to happen with the royals now that–as far as we know–the entire line has been wiped out except for Diana and Sean? The last thing this show needs is another season of supernatural pregnancies and magic-fueled breakups. There’s plenty of plot to go around, if the writers will just use it.
Then there’s the fact that Nick’s dual jobs are both, on their own, not conducive to healthy, stable relationships. Being a homicide detective is a hard, dangerous job with long hours and constant uncertainty. That would put strain on any relationship, without the added layers of danger, duplicity, brutality, and secrecy being a Grimm brings to the table. I don’t see Nick just up and meeting someone who’s willing and able to handle all of that, who he’s willing to trust and get close to, any time soon. The odds are against him.
Do you think the new girl casted on the show will be Trubels love interest? I was kind of hoping she would have a story with the boxes guy from last season?
From what I can find online, it’s hard to say. But I would be so excited to see that! Not only would I love to see more Trubel, I adore Carlson Young.
I was at ComicCon today and got to choose a Monroe picture for the keyring I wanted, but his name was listed as Eddie and I was like “wft is this, he’s Monroe”. So that confused me. Not really an ask but it’s something that I saw and I’ve seen you posting about it.
IT’S EVEN INFILTRATED COMIC-CON.
Get your shit together Grimm showrunners and marketing department! Like damn.
in the german credits he’s listed as Eddie Monroe
The Eddie Monroe thing started partly because in a very early draft of the script, his name was actually “Eddy Monroe.” (I actually recommend reading that whole thing, it’s pretty wild…I love seeing what the show looked like in the writers’ minds before it got trimmed down for television.)
The rumor of the name got out during the early press for the show in season one, and everyone started to assume his name was Eddie. Probably not helped by things like what you mention here (and I think it’s even in one of the early interviews with him, like the little bar at the bottom lists him as the guy who plays Eddie Monroe, though I don’t have a source for that one).
However, they’ve never once in the show referenced Eddie (or Eddy) Monroe. And in fact Silas Weir Mitchell has addressed here and here that the name of his character is not Eddie Monroe.
“It’s just Monroe, just for the record,” he says in the first article. And in the second:
“Somehow the name Eddie Monroe mistakenly got out there and now everyone assumes my character’s name is Eddie Monroe – for the record it’s just Monroe.”
The “Eddie Monroe” question is practically a part of Grimm fandom history!
Now if only the teams that do text inserts, credits, and govern what goes into the tie-ins would get their act together and stop causing us poor fans so much confusion! -_-
