I’m the only one who thinks the worsts seasons of Grimm was season 2, 3(but 3 only gets better when Trubel appears for the first time) and 5(until the stupid Nadalind stuff) ? Mari.

I can’t say I agree…I loved every season of Grimm except maybe the back half of 4, and even that was interesting. I mean the N/a/dalind stuff in 5 was 1000% gross, and I will always feel like the writing decisions made in season 5 killed the show. But even so the season had some really strong episodes, and possibly the best finale they’ve ever done. It had just lost too much of the audience by that point to salvage the ratings.

Season 6 was the weakest season IMO, but then I think it couldn’t help but be weaker because it was slashed in half, episode-wise, and because it was an abrupt final season trying to live up to five years of story build-up. And although I loved it as a season and loved parts of the ending, I don’t really feel like they paid all of that off.

Granted, it’s not as bad as some highly-anticipated endings (nothing will ever be worse than the endings to Lost or HIMYM). And to be honest, the Grimm writers played my heart like a fiddle to the point that I didn’t even notice a lot of the flaws on my first or second viewing of the series finale.

But now that I’m removed from the emotional aspects of it a tiny bit, I can see that it still wasn’t completely worthy of all that came before. So if I had to choose a worst season, it would probably be 5 or 6, despite individual episodes that were fantastic.

this whole show is sooooo extra like I stopped watching when I got into teen wolf and that isn’t much better wtf am I doing

But it’s THE GOOD EXTRA like. Okay season 4 really threw me and I almost wanted to stop watching at some points, but that’s like a curse a lot of shows go through.

Season 5 was great and so far season 6 has been phenomenal, like season 1 levels or better. If they want to throw all possible extras at us all at once in the few episodes we have left, I am fine with that! More than fine.

Hiiii guys, happy (a little late) new year !! Are you all excited(or fearing) for the new episode ? Do you guys have any theories for the series finale ? Mari.

We are VERY excited! I dunno about the other admins, but I have very few theories. One of my favorite things about Grimm is that they have always kept me guessing. But I do have a few things I fully expect:

  1. We will finally see what kind of powers baby Kelly has.
  2. It will be confirmed that Juliette is back or at least that Juliette/Eve are not quite so separate anymore.
  3. Sean Renard will be dead by season’s end.

Mostly I just really want to see what that Stick of Destiny’s consequences are.

While I’m sad that S6 will be a shortened season, I’m glad they’re having a chance to properly end it (and hopefully they’ll do it well) instead of it getting cancelled after a season’s cliffhanger or something. I’m not sure why it’s starting later though? I thought it worked so well starting around Halloween with the subject matter

I agree, I always loved getting a new season of Grimm right before Halloween. But the network hasn’t given a reason for the change yet, and may not. Presumably they have some show they think will do better lined up for Grimm’s time slot in the fall. Either that, or it’s to give the cast and crew of Grimm extra time for filming. Who knows, really?

How are you guys taking the news?

I honestly didn’t know until I got this ask and realized what it must be about. I’m….I honestly don’t know what to think. I’m sad that an amazing show has been cut short by one less-than-stellar season (which still had so many amazing moments!). I just want to make the most of the rest of hiatus and enjoy the last 13 episodes.

So Grimmsters, I’m opening it up to you: what are your hopes for season 6? What would you like to see on this blog in the coming months? How do you feel about NBC’s announcement?
