This episode is so freaking weird!!!!!

It was definitely, as Liz said during the liveblog, one of the weirder ones, even for Grimm. And I’m pretty sure it was kind of a short break and some comic relief for us before shit gets real.

I mean, we had 6 episodes dealing with the fallout of last season’s finale, furthering the questions about the stick, and setting up some new mysteries. We have six more episodes left in the season, at least four of which have deeply concerning titles.

And then we had this episode smack in the middle that seemed like mostly filler but served–if you read between the lines–to air out and address a lot of things that hadn’t been fully dealt with yet, as well as really cement the bond between the members of Team Grimm.

Judging from that and the promo for next episode…things are about to get serious and dark. We’re in the downward slide now. I have a feeling this episode was, despite its weirdness, the brief calm before the storm.

Okay, so I haven’t watch the episode yet, but I have my opinions : For Nick’s sake and life, I really hope Monroe never discover that his bff was in love for his wife during the spell ; Nick falling in love for Rosalee is the creepiest thing I’ve ever see in this show ; See Adalind slapping Nick in the face was the best thing I’ve see in my life, made my weekend ; Never stay in the same place as Diana ; NICK AND EVE KISS, OH YEAH ! ; David and Claire : new comedy drama king and queen. Mari.

Well, I honestly don’t think Monroe would hold anything against Nick for this episode, considering a) Nick was under a spell, and b) Monroe also did some wild stuff under that spell. They weren’t responsible for their own actions and I think they all know that this time.

I do wholeheartedly agree that Nick falling for Rosalee was absolutely creepy in the extreme. I think it might have killed whatever Monrosehardt shipping I had left in me, tbh.

That whole scene where everyone is slapping everyone else, Monroe is dipping Eve back all romantic-like, and Nick and Adalind are wailing while Hank is in the background just dancing in his underwear and singingĀ ā€œLet’s Get It Onā€ to his own reflection was the absolute most hilarious scene I’ve ever seen in any show, ever.

My suspicions about the Eve/Nick kiss being all down to the spell were right and I’m sad. BUT it’s key to note that before the spell happened, Eve admitted to Diana that she was sad that she and Nick aren’t in love anymore. Which means there are definitely still feelings there on her side. And we got yet another instance ofĀ ā€œNick drops everything and moves his ass like his pants are on fire when Eve calls for him,ā€ so that was fun. Although that thing with the mirror was YIKES.

Overall, a really weird but also fun episode with a lot of great moments.
