Was talking to my roommate earlier and it came up that the stick only seems to work when it’s held by Nick.

– he was holding it when it healed Monroe.

– he was the one who used it to save Eve.

– obviously he was the one holding it when it saved his life.

– when others touch it, it does that freaky pressure-bomb thing.

So maybe it can only be wielded by a Grimm? Has Trubel ever held it? I don’t recall. But it would make sense. The seven knights were supposed to have been Grimms, right? So whatever it was part of originally, it would make sense that it was a weapon for Grimms to use.

you know what really scares me about the stick… it’s managing to get inside a Grimm’s mind and they are suppose to be immune to mind controlling spells (heck even the three coins didn’t work on them).

That is very true and entirely scary, now that you mention it. The coins were almost addictive in the same way the stick seems to be, and yet they hardly affected Nick at all–just a split-second of hesitation before he put them away and was seemingly never tempted again. But the stick? That has messed with him.

Granted, the stick is ostensibly much older and more powerful than the coins, and seems to have been something important specifically to Grimms at one point. So maybe it’s an exception to the rule for some significant reason?

It could also be because it brought him back from the dead at least twice, or because he had it on him for so much longer than he had the coins.

Hopefully we’ll find out more soon! But I agree, it is definitely disconcerting.

Grimm Sneak Peak: 5×21-22, “The Beginning of the End, Parts 1 & 2.″

Looks like Portland’s Finest (plus a blurry Monroe) are going to be heading down to Nick’s hiding place to retrieve the Stick of Destiny. But…why does Nick look so distraught in that last photo?

I have a feeling someoneis going to “die” and the grimmstick thing will bring them back. Maybe it’ll be Eve and she’ll be brought back as Juliette? I don’t know but 2 hours of crazy and we litterally don’t know the half of it

I KNOW, RIGHT?!

I mean I honestly never know what’s going to happen but usually I can guess one or two things. This season I literally have no idea what’s going to go down or how, and that whole “so shocking we can’t show you anything from the second half” bit is like…WTF IS GOING TO HAPPEN. Especially since that second bit will be after 10pm, which is when networks expect that the kiddies will be in bed, so they can bring out things like Hannibal.

Which is really worrying because have you seen the level of fucked up that is Hannibal?!

What I’m also worried about is how that whole perilous side of things is going to work. I mean, we haven’t seen any adverse effects on Monroe from being healed, but in most shows/mythologies bringing someone back from the dead is difficult, forbidden, and/or never comes without serious consequences.

Although now I think I would love to see Nick choose to take that risk and use the stick to bring Eve back.
