28 Days of Grimm, Day 2

Favorite Episode: Where the Wild Things Were

This episode!! There’s so much I could say about it. I could talk for days. The whole idea of this other, wilder world, the danger and also melancholy of it. Eve being there because she wants to atone for her mistakes, Nick going after her without a second thought. The two of them fighting side by side in a way we really haven’t seen before, finally equals and on the same page. The fact that they can trust each other like that after everything.

And that painful, heart-rending, cathartic speech Eve gives to Nick, absolving him of everything and assuring him she has no regrets. The fact that she makes the choice–she who has had so few choices up to that point–not to go back to what they were, breaking the love triangle by saying no, that’s not who I am or what I want anymore.

It hurts, my Silverhardt shipper heart especially, but it’s such a beautiful moment for them and for her.

Me, watching the S6 finale, seeing Nick and Juliette’s painful conversations, longing looks, and how tightly they’re holding each other in fear and confusion, in a dark terrifying forest somewhere in a wessen world. Me: “WHY DON’T WE REWRITE THE STARS, SAY YOU WERE MADE TO BE MINE, NOTHING COULD KEEEEEEEEP US APART, YOU’D BE THE ONE I WAS MEANT TO FIND! …. WHY DON’T WE REWRIIIIIIIIITE THE STARS TONIGHT

🥺🥺🥺

So I’m going through my gifs and clips of Grimm to fill some of the outstanding gif requests in my inbox, and Nick’s face when Eve says “I know you’re here because you loved me once,” Nick’s FUCKING FACE kills me every time. Like my god, can’t you see it, Eve? Can’t you see he never once stopped?!

I’ll never be over it.

I love how when Monroe is getting so offended by her bringing in those books that my first thought was “Monroe you can ground her later sweetie, first get Eve out.of Mirror land.”

Right? Priorities, Monroe.

(Although tbh Monroe is so going to be that parent who’s always getting hung up on the details of the wild thing his kid did and forgetting to deal with the context of the situation. Assuming he survives to see them be born.)

I’m so torn between wanting to watch the finale and be surprised and wanting to wait and make sure Juliette’s and Nick are okay before I finish.

I don’t know what to tell you…I mean on the one hand I want to scream “watch it watch it!” Because I’m excited. But on the other hand, I understand wanting to know what you’re getting into before you jump feet-first.

That being said, as of 6×11 they were in a pretty good place with each other. Not a romantic place, but they finally hashed some things out and a lot of pain and blame was put to bed.

do you really think that speech was meant to kill silverhardt? i think it can go either way. either that talk completely kills any hope for them or it opens the door for more talks and an understanding of what happened to each of them and how they’re both different now but that doesn’t mean they can’t start over and try to heal with each other. i’m not ready to give up on silverhardt yet. i’m not ready to give up on this beautiful, horribly painful ship.

I think if we had a season 7 or even just a full, 22-episode season 6, then it could go either way. But with so little time left and so much else going on, it doesn’t look good.

I’m not ready to give up on Silverhardt yet, either, and I never will be. I will be shipping them long after the show is over, no matter where the writers leave them.

teamrebecchi:

i wonder if this zerstörer & diana thing was what melissa was trying to prevent in 1×03 and that was why she told nick that something really bad was coming and that that was why adalind needed to die!

Well…she did say “he’s coming for you.” And it was never really clear who he was because like…Renard is tall and untrustworthy but he’s hardly a cosmic threat worthy of mystical bee warnings.

So maybe that is what she was talking about! In which case…yowza. Talk about a throwback. The third episode.
